Black Carbon will be exhibiting at the GuitarFEST  in Northampton on the 16th September from 2pm - midnight. It looks like being a fabulous event so make a date in your diary to see some of the greatest musicians around including Guthrie Govan!

Black Carbon and British Custom Guitars held an art exhibition at the Old Bridge Hotel in Huntingdon on Sunday 2nd of September 2007. The exhibition showcased our unusual custom guitars and the work of Antony Charles Tomlinson. Thanks to those who came.

Below is a video of some of Antony's work

"Shine On"        Back to black carbon news

Black Carbon recently acquired a renowned piece of art from Antony Charles Tomlinson. The piece is an abstract collection of thoughts pieced together to form a tribute to the legendary band  "Pink Floyd" and was one of the main attractions at the London Guitar Show. It started life as an alloy wheel melted down and reformed by casting to create this beautiful sculpture.

Antony has been producing this form of art for over 25 years with his own unique and individual style and his work has been acknowledged at international museum exhibitions.

His art has been sold through exclusive outlets including "Harrods of London" and recently the "Hard Rock Cafe" acquired a number of works for display. Already commanding 5 figure sums for some of his work ACT is set to remain highly collectable.

"Shine On" will be on exhibition from time to time. Whether a guitar fan or not Antony's work is well worth seeing if you have an opportunity . Future events will be posted here.

One of our "Griffin black stocks" found it's way to the "Orange" stand at the exhibition this year. We're big fans of "Orange" and were honoured to have been given permission to display with them. By the way if you haven't tried a "Tiny Terror" you really should they are absolutely brilliant!. Thanks again to the boy's at "Orange" (click left for larger image)

Tips for the Future

At the 2006 Music Live event in Birmingham, Joel Mason a Huntingdon based guitarist performed on the "Black Carbon" stand to celebrate our launch, at 15 he really is an astounding young player. Talent scouts take note he deserves your attention. Thanks for helping out Joel we wish you every success. (click upper right for larger image)

Little Jacob Smith performed at the LG show for a number of stands and we were really pleased that he stopped by to have a go with our "Prodigy" guitar. He's only 12 but boy can he play. Thanks for giving the "Prodigy" a go Jacob and good luck with you playing. (click lower right for larger image)

Cambridge Rock Festival 2007

The Cambridge Rock Festival was a wonderful experience if you came along you will have seen us next to the Radio Caroline team in the main arena.

The bands were of an exceptional standard this year and regardless of where they were placed in the order of events I can honestly say there was not one band who didn't thoroughly deserve to be at the event.

Many people will have turned up to see some of the more recognisable names but I am very confident that a couple of the emerging bands seen at this festival are destined to become familiar to a much wider audience.

We'd like to pay tribute to the fantastic organisation, stewardship and security which was in every respect superb and of course we'd like to thank the many Artists and members of the public who came to talk to us. Hope to see you next year.
